This Away From Home program is one of a kind which only available once a week to maintain the originality of our village!
Your Away From Home will start with a private pickup direct from your hotel or villa in Bali and Gede will be your driver, tour guide and entertainer for the day! Relax and enjoy the ride to the East Bali leaving the crowd of the city, while we take you to a local village where you will get a glimpse of how and where Balinese families live.
After a classic Balinese breakfast, We will do waterfal trekking and take a dip to refresh yourself with the gorgeus nature presented by the village. We will learn the process on how the balinese make a local spirit “arak”. Participate in a small Balinese Cooking Class for your lunch, Do everything as the locals do! We will have a shower in a River! Yes, in a river!In the evening, we will learn deeply about the East Bali tradition and Bali in general while enjoying dinner in Balinese Style “Megibung feast”. Learning how to make local Balinese offering, and enjoying the cold night with a hot coffee/tea or even arak!
Sunday morning, you will need to wake up early to work as the locals do, going to the forest, cutting wild grass and feeding the cow. We would have a breakfast after work and then learning the process how the locals make a palm sugar, we will see the process from the very beginning to the end, this one would really surprise you, trust us! Finally, we will have our lunch and prepare to say goodbye to the locals.
It’s even possible to join a temple festival, wedding invitation and other ceremony (depending on the cultural activity calendar in the village)!
To end this beautiful experience, during drop off you are free to choose if you want to do some sightseeing on the way back to your place, we could stop in some Warung, Minimarket, beach, etc (as long as it’s on the same way to your place and there is no time limit)
